Dreaming of summer? We are! Actually, planning for summer may be a better way to say it…

We are excited to bring the French Nest Open-air Market back for the 2010 market season! Creative people like you are what make the market such a unique shopping experience for northern Colorado and with all of the emails we have been receiving we are certain the market is going to be better than ever!

We have confirmed the 3rd Saturday of every month from May to October! The time and location have remained the same: Civic Center Park from 9 am. to 3 pm. Actual dates and details are listed on the attached application.

To entice you further, we are offering a $50.00 discount for those vendors who commit to a minimum of five markets this summer. And, as the old saying goes… the early bird gets the …nest? Or $50.00 off off the nest! That’s right sign up and pay for a minimum of 5 markets by April 15th and we will give you an additional $50.00 off of your summer registration fees!

Thank you for being as wonderfully creative and determined as you are! We have already had many people asking when the markets will start-up again, meaning the word is spreading. You can help this along by forwarding this information to anyone you think would be interested.

That’s it for now! Take care and stay warm as you continue dreaming of and planning for summer!

Best,

Laura and Christy
This show centers on how Lace and new concepts of open worked fabric, can be relevant to today’s fiber arts scene.

“Lace” can be created from a variety of fibers, by felting, weaving, knitting or crocheting fibers or yarns into a fabric with holes. Likewise, Lace can be created by knotting or twisting thread into fabric, such as bobbin lace or the art of Chinese knotting.

Bring your innovative examples or modern uses of this fiber reality in whatever artistic form you would like to provide. You may include clothing, large screens, accessories, home décor, or simple expressions of your style.

We have just been sent a call for vendors for an upcoming market in Fort Collins. Check it out!~

Here it is friends: The first official FREEdom Market. Craft-tastic, art-magic, volunteer based, no fee, market.

This means a market to sell your handmade, crafty, art love with no fee for the space, commissions, etc. You volunteer 4 hours of your time to step-up, clean-up, and promote. The market is everyone’s; we’re all invested in its success. The market has no entry fee, will be a blast, stress-less, and a genuine grassroots community collaboration. This idea is an extension of the Critical Mass Art show, also no fee, happening first fridays in old town public spaces for the past 7 months and counting. A FREEdom Market can only happen in a donated space. The Bean Cycle has opened their ENTIRE space to us for the love of local handmadeness.

DATE:
Saturday December 12th

PLACE:
Bean Cycle | Matter Bookstore
144 North College, Old Town Fort Collins

TIME:
9am to 5pm
(It is important we start early with how busy the coffee shop is early in the morning)

Email us for more information at: FREEdom Market via susan@susanhazelrich.com. We will need a commitment from you by Wednesday November 18th so act fast. There are only 10 spots and those will be juried by local artists, writers and lovers of handmade.
